Nomograms
Researchers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering have advanced the use of computerized tools called nomograms, used by physicians for a better understanding of cancer treatment options, risk estimates and survival odds.
  • Calculates the likelihood that breast cancer that has spread to the sentinel lymph nodes has also spread to additional lymph nodes under the arm.
  • Assists in predicting the probability and length of survival for a patient who has had an RO resection for gastric carcinoma within the last six months.
  • Assess a long-term smoker's risk of developing lung cancer in the next 10 years.
  • Calculates the likelihood that disease has spread to lymph nodes in a patient with melanoma.
  • Assists in predicting a patient with pancreatic cancer their probability and length of survival.
  • Helps determine which treatment approaches will result in the greatest benefit for patients with prostate cancer.
  • Predicts the likelihood of recurrence after surgery in patients with renal cell carcinoma.
  • Calculate sarcoma survival odds for adult patients with soft-tissue sarcomas.
