  • I receive the error "CE Services/Active sync not installed". What should I do?
    Check to make sure you have a Windows Mobile device. If you have a Palm®, BlackBerry® or some other device, you have to go back to download the installation software again, and choose the appropriate software for your device.
    If you are using Windows Vista® , please make sure you have the latest version of "Windows Mobile Device Center" installed on your PC. Go to the following website to download and install the latest version of Windows Mobile Device Center:

  • I have recently changed devices and am now using a device with a different mobile operating system. Can I transfer the Mobile MerckMedicus software to my new device?
    Yes, you can switch platforms. To do so, simply visit the "Mobile" section of the MerckMedicus website to download software for your new device. Under your Mobile MerckMedicus press the link that says reinstall Mobile MerckMedicus to your PDA. Please have your user name and password available to complete the download.
  • I cannot remember my user name and/or password. Can you resend it?
    You can request your user name and/or password by visiting the MerckMedicus login page and clicking the link for either "Forgot my user name" or "Forgot my password" . If the email is sent and you do not receive it, please check your Junk Email to ensure the sent email was not filtered.
  • I have recently changed computers, and now my Mobile MerckMedicus will not sync. How can I fix it?
    If you have recently switched computers you will need to download the install file, and reinstall the software on your new PC. To download the program again, please visit the MerckMedicus website below.

    Once on the site, login and select Mobile. Under your Mobile MerckMedicus press the link that says reinstall Mobile MerckMedicus to your PDA. Please have your user name and password available to complete the download.
  • How do I uninstall the program?
    Windows XP Users
    1. Place the Windows Mobile device into its cradle
    2. Open ActiveSync on your computer. To do so, find the program in your Start Menu or click the green circular icon located in the bottom right-hand corner of your computer screen.
    3. From the "Tools" menu select "Add/Remove programs".
    4. Highlight the text of the program and click the "Remove" button. Please note that you will have to remove each instance of the program one at a time.
    Windows Vista Users
    1. Place the Windows Mobile device into its cradle
    2. Open the Windows Mobile Device Center on your computer. To do so, find the program in your Windows Start Menu or click the green circular icon located in the bottom right-hand corner of your computer screen.
    3. Select "Programs and Features", then click "more" followed by "add/remove programs".
    4. Uncheck the box of the Mobile MerckMedicus program and click "ok".
  • Can I install Mobile MerckMedicus products on a memory card?
    Yes, these products can be installed on Secure Digital (SD) or Compact Flash cards. If you are installing for the first time, please follow these instructions:

    1. During installation you will be asked, "Do you want to install this application in the Default Directory?"
    2. Click "No", and then chose the card onto which you would like to install the application.
    3. Delete the Mobile MerckMedicus application from your device.
    4. Download the newest version of the application from our support website.
    5. Run the installer, follow the "Installing for the First Time" instructions above, and enter the serial number provided at product purchase.
